The Origins Of Motocross And How Far It’s Come

The first know off road event was in 1924 named, the Scrambles. This was to be the earliest form of Motocross to this day. Motorsports started as a couple of off road motorcycle trials, where they held competitions. Shortly after the scrambles was established, the sport grew in popularity, specially in British. Most common teams were from the Birmingham Small Arms Company, Norton and Matchless. The bikes used in these races were slightly different from those that were use on the street.
